A Million Dreams are Keeping Me Awake

Okay, be honest. Did you just sing that Title song out loud? The Greatest Showman was SO good!! BUT... that's only part of what inspired me to sit down and write this post today! Ever since I was a little girl I've always been told to "dream big". Things like becoming a famous cosmetologist, a professional clothing designer, own my own business, or become a pro face painter (LOL!) were usually the things that would end up on the top of my list as a little girl. Now days my mind seems to have a million and two dreams flying around at all times. Personal growth dreams. Business dreams. Home decor dreams. (I'm in the middle of a rather massive room reno) Family dreams. Dreams for the future. Dreams for our crazy world. BIG dreams! I love helping others and I've always been very entrepreneurial so reigning in my wildest dreams has proven to be a tricky task. Stepping out in faith helps to achieve some of these dreams... Calling them goals helps with some... but what about the crazy futuristic ones? Well, I think I have found something that helps and you may roll your eyes when I tell you that you too have probably heard it many times before... Write Them down!! Write down those dreams big or small! Pray over them and ask God what direction you need to go in. Ask whether this is something he has for you or just something that your own heart desires and to align them with him. Ask him to clear the clutter in order to gain the clarity needed to stay steady on the path he has for you! (*Raises hand* speaking to this girl too!) In the last year I was encouraged and blessed beyond measure to have been able to meet so many of my wildest dreams. Starting my own business, creating a blog, having people read said blog, growing that business on social media, and the list just goes on... I've also found that the best way to achieve those dreams... it's to stop dreaming and start doing! Take baby steps or big foot steps... loose the fear and just do it! Yesterday, I set out to try and reach another dream that I've had for a very long time! I created my own line of T shirts! Just typing that feels so good!! To some that may seem silly but I used to keep my design work hidden. I never felt like it was as good as other pro designers. Working with Whatever Ministry helped me change that mindset. It became less about "me" and more about sharing a gift that God had entrusted me with. So don't be afraid to dream big. to pray big. and to grow! You can find more information on the T shirt line below:

Bonfire is a T-shirt design and printing company that prints short runs of specific T shirt designs called Campaigns.
